In my opinion I believe Unorthodox Jukebox  by Bruno Mars was one of the biggest albums dropped. It holds three of his most popular songs as well as this being one of his most listened to albums. Bruno Mars is one of the most popular and commercially successful artists in the world. The album holds two of his most famous songs,  Locked out of Heaven, and When I was your man. Bruno Mars hit over 130 million monthly listeners on Spotify. With that, Bruno is definitely one of the most loved artists,  with over 30 Grammy nominations,  and a total of 16 Grammy Awards. Unorthodox Jukebox was released December 7, 2012. When it came out in 2012 it was a massive hit. In the UK it was the fastest selling solo album. 

The biggest hit on the album was, When I was your man. With over 3.1 billion streams on Spotify.  Songwriter claims that When I was your man made Bruno very nervous, ¨I´ve never been this nervous. Can’t explain it¨ Bruno also shares that the whole meaning behind this big hit was for  a girl who once got away. When deciding how to make this song he chose piano and vocal, ¨I think a piano and a vocal is the most purest form of music¨ Bruno shares that When I was your man was written because of the deep meaning behind  how it can be a learning experience for others.

The second biggest hit on Unorthodox Jukebox was Locked out of Heaven, with over 3.1 billion streams as well. Locked out of Heaven  was number 1 hit for six weeks in a row. Phil Lawrence, a producer of Locked out of Heaven states from Hollywood news on how they got the idea, ¨We were backstage after a show jamming in our greenroom and we started singing that phrase locked out of heaven. 

The third biggest hit on the album is Treasure. Treasure is an up-beat tempo with an old school beat. Co-writer Philip Lawrence states the whole meaning behind the song was to have something fun  that people could dance to. Treasure became Bruno’s seventh song to hit top 10 in the United States.

In the end  Unorthodox Jukebox was one of the biggest hits. With 3 of Bruno Mars’s biggest songs  made this album overall a huge success. Bruno Mars is still rising in popularity as he produces more music. As of 2026 Bruno Mars takes off with a tour that leaves the whole world in shock and sells out almost all of his shows over the word. I give Unorthodox Jukebox five stars out of five.
