On Tuesday, May 27th in Thunder Stadium, Rocklin held their annual Powder Puff game with the Senior and Junior girls facing off against each other, with the Seniors winning in a close 27-20 victory. With the win, it marks the Senior girls 10th win in the Powder Puff game over the Juniors.
The Seniors took an early lead in the game with some touchdowns from the girls under the coaching from Seniors Connor Kostecki, Connor Bow, and other Seniors who were a part of the Varsity Football team stepping in as coaches. However, the Juniors began to charge a comeback from coaches Ryan O’Donnell and Ryan Spears with help from juniors Aidan Calhoun and Collin Dunn allowing the Juniors to bring the score up to 27-20 in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. The seniors were able to hold them off with some great plays from Seniors Lindsay Salvatierra, Ava Erickson, and Skyler Linehan as the Seniors held the ball until the game was over.
An exciting game to the end of the school year with a large crowd in attendance to watch the two upperclassmen girls go head to head.
