The class of 2026 won 1st place during halftime at Friday night’s homecoming football game. Each class’s float was driven by the stands, briefly pausing before the Thunder student section to present a skit acted out by theater students from the graduation class.
The theme for this year’s float was Pixar. Having lost the first three years to the class of 2025, seniors had a desire to win this year. “We spent the last week [preparing],” said Rabee Ayar. The specific them for the senior float was Toy Story, with Ayar acting as Andy for the skit portion. For Ayar, “It’s all about making sure I have no regrets for high school.”
Jayden Robeck is another senior who acted for the skit, acting as Woody. “[I had] a lot of excitement because I’ve never done this before,” said Robeck. He expressed his love for the homecoming spirit, being glad he could represent his class. “Pixar is really near and dear to my heart, and I think it’s a really good homecoming theme” he said. “I’m glad we went off with a bang.”
