On October 6th the Rocklin Boys Water Polo team hosted and won against Jesuit High School for the second time this season. The Thunder delivered with a dominating 14-6 victory over the Carmichaels continuing their win streak with now 11 straight victories and remain undefeated in the SFL with a 7-0 record. The defense delivered with Senior Cooper Teuton having five blocks in the first two halves of the game, then in the goal Sophomore John Burns had seven blocks in the second half.
Their offense was on fire with Sophomore Nash Van Wagenen being picked the MVP of the game by coach Hamm when she was asked which player performed the best, “He had only two goals, but he had two assists, five steals, and he earned six ejections. So that means that six times he got the defense kicked out, and we get our six on five man up situation. So earning six ejections is huge, giving us those power play opportunities.”
Rocklin looks to remain undefeated in the league as they prepare for a rematch against the Del Oro Eagles on October 8th.
