On February 14th, your Rocklin Thunder ran through the Whitney Wildcats! After beating Whitney earlier in the season, Rocklin is now 2-0 against Whitney this year with your final score of today’s game being 77-46. Senior Mark Lavrenov had a big game tonight as he continued his amazing season. Currently, Lavrenov averages 23.5 points per game and leads the team in rebounds per game with 12.3. Senior Ely Willis said, “It feels good, prove to them why we’re better and beat them by 30.” All cylinders were firing today for the Thunder as they never lost the lead in this matchup. It was a very dominant performance, the Thunder got off to a fast start and never looked back. The Storm brought the noise tonight, senior Keane Frank said his favorite part about being in the Storm is “the energy, and we’re obviously winning so the energy is always up, and it’s just great times.” Rocklin ends the regular season with a record of 20-8, they are 2nd in the league just falling short behind Folsom by 1 loss. It was a great way for the Thunder to end their regular season, and they look to keep it up as they head into the playoffs. This is the 2nd year in a row that Rocklin has beaten Whitney in both meetings. The outstanding team chemistry and energy in the building led the way for Rocklin in their final game of the season.
