On October 18th, the Rocklin High Thunder secured a 35-21 victory over the Granite Bay Grizzlies in a solid all-around performance. Rafi Merino led the way with three touchdowns, powering the Thunder’s offense throughout the game. Mikey Cunningham played a key role on both sides of the ball, contributing as a receiver and safety. “I just like being aggressive, bringing it every play, and going for the ball,” Cunningham said after the game. “Offensively, I like to catch the ball and go for yards on every play.”
With this win, the Thunder continue to build on their strong season with an 7 and 1 record. Next week, they will face the Del Oro Golden Eagles, where they are favored to win and keep the momentum going. As the team prepares, they are focused on refining their game and finishing the season strong.
