Rocklin High Welcomes A New Athletic Director
When Mr. Davis Stewart bowed down as athletic director to become the new principal, the Rocklin High community was left wondering who would fill his place. On June 4th, Mr Spears, a well loved history teacher and football coach, was officially announced Rocklin High’s new athletic director.
“I am excited to work with all of the students and coaches, and bring in some new things as the next athletic director,” Mr. Spears remarked.
Mr. Spears, a well dedicated football coach of 17 years, clearly has a passion for Rocklin High’s athletic program. He explained that the athletic director is in charge of organizing and managing the coaches and players here at RHS as well as promoting our school culture and spirit.
“I plan on building up The Storm, our student spirit section at games, and really bringing more attention to less recognized sports such as tennis,” Ryan Spears explained upon asking about any changes he plans to make as our new athletic director.
With Mr. Spears in charge, Rocklin High School’s well known athletic program is once again in good hands for the 2015-2016 school year and many years to come.
