The Multicultural Club at RHS held their 2nd annual talent show Friday, March 28 inside the RHS cafeteria from 5 pm to 8 pm.
The cafeteria was set up after the school day ended. During the talent show, Multiple performers were able to display multiple talents and represent multiple cultures.
Alana Weichers, a Filipino junior at RHS, performed Radiohead’s “Creep,” The Cranberries’ “Linger,” and Keshi’s “Understand” with her friend Arabella, a member of her Filo-American band “Angelo.” “Since we hold these songs very close to our hearts, might as well bring them out and show them to everyone else,” Weichers said.
The talent show was organized with the help of Mrs. Tacla, An english teacher at RHS who works with English-learning students. She helped organize the show because she works with, “So many different students from different backgrounds and different cultures and sometimes they feel a little bit marginalized.”
