On February 26th, your Rocklin High Thunder battled through a defensive war against West Park in the Section semifinals, securing a 1-0 overtime victory. Both teams put up an incredible defensive fight, but it was Sydney Vu who broke through with the game-winning goal, sending Rocklin to the championship.
It was a back-and-forth battle, with neither side willing to give an inch. Rocklin’s defense stood strong all night, shutting down West Park’s attacks and keeping the game scoreless through regulation. When the pressure was at its peak, Rocklin delivered. Sydney Vu’s clutch overtime goal sealed the win, sending the Thunder to the Section finals.
Now, Rocklin will face Granite Bay on Saturday with the championship on the line. Karlee Larson is confident in the team’s chances: “We’re not scared of Granite Bay, so very excited that it ended up being them. Not worried about it—beat them before.”

a battle, and Rocklin is ready to rise to the challenge.
