With countless bruises, shots put up, hours on the field, and unforgettable moments, this senior class of the boys lacrosse team has seen it all. From their freshman year being cut off early with the COVID-19 pandemic to all 19 of them graduating together, they will go down in Rocklin High School history.
On April 11, Rocklin High School’s men’s lacrosse team hosted their Senior Night in a game against Folsom High School. Rocklin won the game with a final score of 10 to 9, causing the Thunder’s record to rise to 7-5 for their overall season. The game was hard fought after a rough first half, but the team prevailed in the second. Senior Max Teachout, who has been playing with the Thunder lacrosse team since the 6th grade, reflects on his time, saying, “[I’ve learned] just to keep your head up when things are getting rough. There’s always a bright side at the end of it.”
The Thunder had their last four games in their season following senior night and ended up with a record of 8-8. Although it was not the ending the team had hoped and fought for, it was a great send off to all 19 of their seniors, cementing their place in Rocklin High School History.
