New leader brings instructional focus

RUSD Has a New Superintendent

Coming from the San Juan Unified School District, Mr. Roger Stock has become the new face in the Rocklin Unified School District.  RUSD has chosen him to be the new superintendent after Mr. Kevin Brown retired last year.

“The most important thing for the district is that kids are the focus and the improvement of learning is next, ” Rocklin High Principal David Bills said.

Stock has been on the school campus more than once already, observing what could be improved, such as the way things are taught.

“A superintendent works very closely with all of the schools in the district to support Rocklin’s educational process,” Bills said. Also, Stock will help the district because, “He is very focused on improving instruction, and his leadership qualities will make him successful.”

Stock previously worked within the SJSD as the chief academic officer. Bills thinks that he will be well suited for the job due to his past experiences as a journalism teacher and a principal.
