It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Break

What RHS students are doing over break

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Break

It is that time of the year, winter break, when there is no school for two weeks. It is the second longest break, only to summer, and is a chance to relax between semesters.

There are differing ways in what kids will do over their vacation. Some will stay at home, while others will go on road trips or out of state. A few kids may even travel out of the country.

If you’re home for the holidays and feel sad that you are not going anywhere, remember that you can have just as much fun at home as anywhere else.

“Staying at home with family to relax and spend time with family,” says Josh Garland, a sophomore.

This can be more fun to some kids than, say, going on a ski trip to the mountains.

To some students, staying at home can have great benefits during winter break, or any other break. Kids are able to be closer to friends and the comfort of their own rooms.  If they never want to go outside, they can do what they wish.

However, going on vacations is still pretty epic.

“I’m going to Disneyland,” says sophomore Joshua Lee.

Disneyland offers many things that home doesn’t. It offers a place to enjoy rides and see what a Disney fantasy looks like.

During winter break, staying at home and going on vacation both have their positives and negatives. However, what is hoped is that Rocklin High students will have fun and relax for a fresh start to the next semester.
