Tennis sets up for another league championship

With the recent win, girls tennis is trying for another section championship

The Varsity Girls Tennis Team has just recently won league, giving them a staggering 4 league titles in all of our girls tennis history.

Now with the big league title, they are seeking to win their third section title in only 4 years.

If they win this year, they will have won back to back section titles since they won last year in the 2017 season.

It’s undoubtedly been a great season for fall sports. If the tennis team wins the section championship, that will be 3 league titles and possibly 2 section titles (if boys water polo wins as well).

“We’re doing really well and we’re on our way to getting that [section] title.” said sophomore Ashlee Riedinger

With an 8-1 victory over McClatchy High School, a 9-0 win over Edison, and a 7-2 win over Davis,  it’s no secret the girls are doing extremely well in the playoffs.

The final match with St.Francis will take place today. If Rocklin wins, they will be section champions.

Regardless of whether or not they win, the Tennis team has become a force to be reckoned with.
