The bittersweet ending to an outstanding season for the junior varsity baseball players is almost here.

The JV baseball team boast an impressive league record of 9-4 and sit atop the Sierra Foothill League standings. Led by quality pitching and timely hitting from key player, the thunder have continued a hot streak after losing the first three League contests.

Starting by pitching well for the Thunder has been key to the success of the team, lead by Tanner Gomes, TJ McCuiston and Sean Schneeberg on the mound along with timely hits from position players Reece Mooney and other key role players.

The Thunder still has work to do in order to take the league title, beginning with the final two games against a tough Del Oro team. After the series with the Golden Eagles, Rocklin ends the season with a three game series against Woodcreek, with home games on Monday and Wednesday.

With the end of this chapter, the JV athletes are about to be set with a new challenge with the beginning of Varsity baseball next year.
