After nearly a two hour bus drive last Friday, the Thunder arrived in Napa and once again prevailed, defeating the Napa Indians 20-7. Battling temperatures in the hundreds, Rocklin overcame a slow first half, with a dominate 2nd half.

Lead by an outstanding performance by senior, Blayden Brown who rushed for two touchdowns along with two interceptions on defense, one which he returned for a touchdown in the closing minutes of the Fourth quarter.

After an outstanding start to the season, Rocklin prepares for the annual Quarry bowl against cross town rival Whitney. Rocklin enters the game with a perfect 2-0 record, while Whitney suffered their first loss last week to a talented Granite Bay squad.

Interim Head Coach Jesse Armas, has taken over the Wildcats after popular Head coach Paul Dougherty was asked by administration to resign, after a fifth practice violation in 2 years.Through all the controversy, Whitney is still focused on a successful season and is  preparing for another  battle against Rocklin.

As always, the Quarry Bowl is set to produce an outstanding crowd along with a highly competitive showdown between the cross town opponents.
