JV DANCE AND CHEER

Last Week: Cheer and dance performed at the boys basketball games on Wed. 1/27 at home vs. Woodcreek. Cheer also performed at the boys’ games on Thurs. 1/28 at Del Oro. Dance performed at the wrestling match for senior night on Thurs. 1/28.

This Week: Cheer and dance prepare to perform at the boys basketball games against Oak Ridge at home on Wed. 2/3. JV and freshman cheer also have another game on Thurs. 2/3 at home against Granite Bay. JV dance will perform at both home basketball games on Wednesday and Thursday also.

They said it:  “We’re changing the routine this week and switching new girls in for stunt groups because a lot of people are getting sick from flu season, so it’s affecting our stunt groups by switching things up, but it’s giving everyone a chance to stunt now.”-Miranda DaVoulas

Bright Spots: Jourdan Henson and Kulveen Brar led the team in points.

They said it:  “It’s [the game] a lot more enjoyable than you would think. Yeah we lose, but lots of girls haven’t really played basketball before. It is good to know that we are able to have fun even when losing because it is more important for the new girls to enjoy themselves.” -Jourdan Henson

Bright Spots: Freshman Emily Jagerhorn really holds her own and steps it up being the youngest on the team.
