Summer Plans Turn to Snow Plans
Its here! 13 years of school is finally coming to an end, not only are seniors getting their caps and gowns ready, but their post high school plans are now up to them and some students are taking advantage of that. Specifically senior Matt Carter who is packing his bag for Switzerland. While we’re all shopping for swimwear he is looking for snow coats.
Q: What do you plan on doing over the summer?
A: I am getting ready to leave for Switzerland.
Q: How long are you staying?
A: One year, from August 8th to August 8th.
Q: What are going to be doing in Switzerland?
A:I’m going to be volunteering at a children’s school to help with english and daily tasks.
Q: What ages are you going to be teaching.
A: Its a daycare school but the kids will be two-fourteen so its a variety of ages.
Q:Why did you chose Switzerland?
A: Because I think the culture is interesting, and it’s surrounded by a lot of mountains, also its in the middle of Europe so I have a lot of opportunity to travel.
Q: What are you most excited about?
A: Probably going out of my comfort zone and experiencing something new because I have no idea what to expect. If i’m going to pick up on the language and be able to come back and be pretty much fluent.
