Advanced Dance Show Looks Promising
You’re on your way to last block, that final stretch until the bell rings, and when you enter class you see at least two girls with clown-like makeup and hair pulled back so tightly that your head hurts just looking at their ponytails. Obviously this isn’t the “new in-thing” but rather dancers getting ready for the upcoming Advanced Dance Show. Students enrolled in Dance 2, Dance 2 Partners, Dance 3 and Dance 4 come together to put on a 3 day show with a theme for the entertainment of their family and peers.
This year’s theme is branded “Legendary,” with dances revolving around songs by artists that remain an icon throughout the ages. In the show you can expect to see choreography to Prince, The Beach Boys, Madonna and plenty more. A change in this year’s show, however, is that both dance teachers (Mrs. Sarah Blankenship and Mrs. Abby Huber) have decided to knock out the traditional four dances per dancer and replace the number with three in order to shorten the show’s time length.
However the times remain the same. The show is on Thursday the 26th, Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th at 7 pm with a special matinee pricing of $5 on Saturday the 28th at 2pm. For the other showings, it costs $7 with an ASB card and $10 without.
Don’t miss out on what will surely be a legen-wait for it-dary show.
