Marvel’s Relaunch of Original Characters Draws New Fans

Comics have gained popularity in recent years, mainly because of the hype over the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel NOW! is a relaunch of all these original Marvel characters in an attempt to attract more people to read the famed comics.

One of the latest Marvel NOW! comics is Superior Iron Man, which released its first issue on November 12 of this year. It only has two issues so far, with a third coming out on December 24. So far, there are plans to release six books and it is uncertain whether it will have more than two arcs.

This comic shows a more sinister side to Tony Stark, which most readers haven’t seen. In previous comics, Stark and other heroes teamed up to take down the Red Skull. However, this battle changed the personalities of the heroes.

Now, Stark has released an app which has a free trial of his Extremis 3.0, a serum that allows the person to change anything about themselves. Extremis 3.0 begins to make people think they are perfect. This drives them to beat up those they look down upon. Luckily, Daredevil comes in to get to the bottom of Stark’s plans for this new world.

Writer Tom Taylor talked about how interested he was in Tony Stark’s character. He knew that the battle with the Red Skull had changed Stark, so he wanted to explore this new personality.

The artist, Yildiray Cinar, did an excellent job with the art in these books, noting every little detail in the pages. He is able to draw the characters as everyone imagines them, with a few changes including Stark’s armor.

The storyline is intriguing as it takes a turn on the character that most Marvel fans have come to adore. It gives a new side to Stark, something that hasn’t been seen before. Stark used to be self-centered and superficial, but he changed after the events in the first Iron Man movie. While these comics bring him back to the old days, he returns much more cunning, which is dangerous due to the amount of power he has over the people.

This comic series is extremely promising, as the art and writing are superb. Fans of Iron Man would not be disappointed with this series. It should be recommended to Marvel movie fans, as it is sure to get them into the comic book world.
