Spring Break Come Faster

Each season has its reputation. Fall holds the coming of lean times while winter signifies death and the end. Summer is believed to be the pinnacle of life, where you are at your happiest and most carefree. So what does spring signify?

Spring, the season of new beginnings, brings a cheerful setting among most individuals, what with the flowers blooming, sun shining and the sky being a brilliant blue. No longer are we feeling slackery as we were in the winter and we are counting down the days until we are freed from homework and can wake up whenever we please.

Personally spring is my favorite season; it reminds me of new chances that can be taken and an opportunity to start over. I mean, spring is known for being a “restart” season. The 75 degree weather brings an ease to me and makes me feel content with life, something that is hard to come by when I have loads of homework, outside of school activities, and upcoming events to worry about.

Little do students get to take time for themselves and just enjoy being a teenager. I, however, believe that spring, especially spring break, can bring in a wave of relaxation to those who are over stressed and can’t seem to catch a break.

Summer is almost here, so why spend the rest of the year freaking out about that upcoming test? Pick up a favorite book you haven’t read in a while, take some allergy medicine and enjoy the sun, make a date with a friend you haven’t seen in a while and tell that one person what’s been on your mind lately. Just because it’s easier to stress about school rather than appreciate the moment, doesn’t mean you should go the easy way out.
