Magazine Correction for “Before I Graduate” Story

Mr. Hurrianko wants to make it clear that “[He doesn’t] teach [his] students to “stand up to authority,” [he] teaches them to “question authority.” Though the two may seem identical, there is an important difference in connotation as questioning can be done respectfully without being confrontational, while “standing up” connotes confrontation”.

The editors apologize for this mistake as we are unable to fact check, since we received this information from the online anonymous survey, and we apologize for misrepresenting Mr. Hurrianko.

Sincerely,
