Over the next three weeks, dance auditions will be held to determine dance enrollment next year. Dance 1 does not require an audition, so even beginning level dancers can just sign up! However, if you audition for Dance 2, you are much more likely to be guaranteed a spot in Dance 1.

“I’m trying out for Dance 2 partners this year,” says sophomore Courtney Harper. “From what I know, the dancers will be taught a small routine, will get to practice it a couple of times. Then, we will line up around the gym and be counted off into groups of four and will perform in the center of the gym for Mrs. Blankenship, Mrs. Huber, and other selected judges.”

Dancers trying out for each level might successfully get into the class, be bumped down a level, or even be recommended for a higher course. Basically, there’s no way to lose.

Courtney adds, “My most important piece of advice for dancers auditioning would be to wear bright colors and smile a lot!”

Dance 2 and Dance 2 Partners auditions will be held on March 12th from 3:00-6:30 PM.

Dance 3 auditions will be held on March 13th from 3:00-6:30 PM.

Dance 4 auditions will be on March 18th at Rocklin High from 3:00-6:30 PM.
