Next week is Runaway week, the counterpart to Homecoming in the fall. Because it’s a spirit week, there will be a theme and dress up days, construction, a rally, and a dance. The theme for the entire week is reality TV. Freshmen are Duck Dynasty, sophomores are Survivor, juniors are Cops, and seniors are Jersey Shore.

Dress up days are as follows: Monday is Desperate Housewives, so wear PJs or the color red. Tuesday is Biggest Loser day, so wear workout clothes or orange. Wednesday is Reality Day so dress up with your class’s theme or wear yellow. Thursday is College Life Day, so wear your favorite college attire or the color green. Friday is spirit day, so show your school spirit with some blue.

Runaway week also includes shopping cart construction. It will take place from 3-5PM on Thursday the 16th. Visit the storm cellar to get specifics on where your class is meeting.

On Friday, there will also be a rally and a dance. The rally will showcase the shopping carts and Common Court, the group of teachers nominated and voted for by students. Additionally, it will be a spirit competition like every rally. The dance is on Friday night from 8-11PM in the gym. It is a casual dance.

Dress up day winners will be chosen every day and if you win you will get to enjoy some treats at the rally. Show your school spirit and have fun with the themes.
