Playing the guitar is very difficult and requires a lot of practicing. However, Jake Barron is willing to put in the time and effort to be able to play the instrument he loves.

When I was interviewing Jake he told me, “I have been playing guitar for most of my life.” Jake plays both the electric and acoustic guitars. Although he plays both he prefers the electric. He says this is because he prefers to play rock music music which is usually electric guitar based.

Jake is currently learning how to play a lot of Green Day songs having already mastered over 100 rock songs. Learning to play a new song is very tough. Jake claims ,”I try to play guitar as much as I can.”

The biggest highlight of his guitar playing career has been, “playing the National Anthem on the opening day of little league baseball.”

This was Jake’s first time playing guitar in front of this big of a crowd. For that day he chose to bring his electric guitar because that’s what he had been practicing with and just felt more comfortable playing.

Even though this was a big day for Jake, he still had to wait. Before he could play, he had to wait for every Little League team to be announced and walk around the field. After that it was finally his turn. When he was walking onto the field he got announced and then got ready to play.

“It was very nerve racking,” said Jake , “It was weird playing guitar in front of that many people.”

Although some people would hate to have to perform in front of that many people, Jake actually enjoyed. When I was talking to him he said that once he got over being nervous, he was actually excited to be able to play in front of people and show his talent with a guitar.

In the end Jake did well and was very happy. He recalls telling his parents, “I’m just glad I did not mess up.”

Since that day Jake has played guitar in public a lot more and he told me that he gets less and less nervous every time.
