Bangerz….

Bangerz....

Let’s just start of by saying that Miley Cyrus’ new album is everything I expected: trashy, tasteless and an absolute waste of my time. People who actually like Cyrus would call me a hater, but attention all you Miley Fans: I don’t hate everything about her new album, released on October 4, 2013. All I’m going to say is that I absolutely dislike Miley and the choices she has made (wardrobe, hair, style,), but I do like her hit singles “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop.”

“Wrecking Ball” is extremely catchy and I even listen to it while working out at the gym. Quite honestly though I haven’t even paid attention to the lyrics, but I still deem it a song worth listening to. It gets me pumped and therefore I like it.

“We Can’t Stop” is also another song that I find playing on repeat in my head often. It is definitely a song to play at a party, or even a dance party with your friends. Try it sometime, you may have fun.

Miley Cyrus’ song “SMS (Bangerz)” featuring Britney Spears made me cringe the first time I heard it. I know I’m being harsh, but let’s be real: “SMS (Bangerz)” made me feel as if Cyrus inhaled a huge puff of helium prior to recording this song. I honestly didn’t even listen to the song in its entirety because it was just plain bad.

All in all, I only like two out of the sixteen songs in her album, so overall I would rate her work one and a half stars. Flashing back to Miley Cyrus’ alter ego of the past, Hannah Montana: in her song “Nobody’s Perfect” she sang, “everybody makes mistakes.” Well Miley, you made a mistake. Big time.
