Every year the Billboard Music Awards entertains and amazes thousands of viewers, both attending the show and viewing it from home. The 2017 award ceremony was no different and it in fact, blew minds.

The show was hosted in Las Vegas just this last Sunday and was opened with a stunning performance by Nicki Minaj, who dropped some moves that got the audience cheering above the music.

Rapper Drake won a whopping 13 awards over the course of the night, including the ones for top male artist, top rap artist, top rap album and top streaming artist.

Celine Dion, best known for her iconic single “My Heart Will Go On” from the 1997 hit film “Titanic” made an appearance to perform the song, clad in a Stephane Rolland haute couture gown that demanded the gaze of everyone in the room. She was sent off with a standing ovation once the song had concluded.

But perhaps the absolute highlight of the entire night was Cher. It was days ago when the famous singer/actress turned 71 and yet she showed up to the awards ceremony looking years younger, as if no time had passed since the beginning of her 53 year-long music career in the industry. She ended up receiving the Billboard Icon Award to the joy of all the attendees after a spectacular performance of “Believe.”

Overall, the Billboard Music Awards ceremony of 2017 was a massive hit that still has people talking. It was a great night filled with so many incredibly talented and passionate artists who all had a chance to demonstrate their art. Everyone shined.
